The Branch

Founded In January 2014 by PhD Students of IMS Laboratory, the BEE Branch is an IEEE Student Branch. Our objectives is to organize scientific events for researchers, PhD students and students. The Branch is divided in chapter linked to a IEEE Society.

IEEE

"IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is an organisation which promotes the engineering process of creating, developing, integrating, sharing and applying knowlegde about electronic and information technologies."

"An IEEE Student Branch gives students a community of peers, and a connection to faculty and industry professionals who drive innovation in countless technical fields. Student involvement in Branch activities, whether special projects, social and technical meetings, outreach programs, conferences, local Section or Regional opportunities, etc. can help develop a record of accomplishment and capabilities beyond the norm."

IMS Laboratory

The Integration from Material to System (IMS) laboratory was established in 2007 through the merger of three research units: IXL, PIOM, and LAPS. The laboratory combines fundamental research, engineering, and technology, with a focus on an integrative system approach in the field of Information Technologies.

IMS is a joint research unit of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), the University of Bordeaux, and Bordeaux INP. Within CNRS, IMS is affiliated with the Institute for Engineering and Systems Sciences (INSIS) and the Institute for Information Sciences and Technologies (INS2I).

University of Bordeaux

Heir to a history spanning almost six centuries, the University of Bordeaux offers a model of a multi-disciplinary university rooted in its local area and with European and international influence. Today, its ambition is to rise to the challenge of environmental and societal transitions, and to advance the well-being of all members of its community.

The Science and Technology College brings together nearly 8,200 students in all its components, focusing their efforts on the major fields of mathematics and its interactions, computer science, physics, engineering sciences, chemistry, biology and earth and environmental sciences.

Bordeaux INP

Bordeaux INP is an "Etablissement Public à Caractère Scientifique, Culturel et Professionnel" (EPSCP), constituted as a grand établissement.

By unifying engineering schools in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, Bordeaux INP offers top-level scientific and technical training, backed by excellent research and a strong capacity to produce and transfer innovation. Bordeaux INP and its partner schools bring together 9 public engineering schools, an integrated preparatory class "La prépa des INP" and a student incubator "INPulse".
